I get along fine until the steps that say:– You will now work through the install process and get several complaints about being an unsafe and unsigned driver.– Press on regardless, and the driver will then be installed 🙂After I do all of the previous steps, I still get an error message telling me that “The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering”. The only button I can press is “Close”.So, it will not let me install the driver, even after it has found the driver, because it feels dangerous, and I cannot bypass it (or, at least I do not know how)I have Windows 8.1 64-bit. Why is it doing this? Hopefully I will get there in the end.Originally I had the same problem as others, not being able change bcdedit. I managed to overcome the error, I think, by using method 2 in this link.Restarting windows under the settng/general tab and selecting restart/troubleshoot/advanced restart/ and selecting option 7 to disable the function.My next problem is when I go through the installation process up to the point of selecting ‘HCLASSIC.inf’ I get the box.‘The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems’I have no idea how to move forward from this.Yes I downloaded the files from your link above.Any ideas?
